Subscription Terms

Scholar Monster is hosted research-writing software operated by 고요드라이브 (Goyo Drive), a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea. These prospective conditions apply to future paid subscriptions; the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy continue to govern the existing service.

What a subscription will provide

Basic, Standard, and Premium will provide ad-free access to the collaborative LaTeX editor, PDF compilation and preview, references, revision history, proposal review, and authorized MCP workflows with the monthly allowances shown on the Pricing page. AI services are supplied by the external clients you choose under their own terms.

Payments and renewal

The planned payment provider is Paddle as Merchant of Record, subject to its approval. Purchases through Paddle will also be subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms. Monthly subscriptions will renew automatically until cancelled, at the price and billing interval shown before purchase. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes and the final total will be shown before payment.

Monthly allowances

MCP calls and compile processing time are separate account-level allowances. They reset on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC (09:00 KST) without rollover. The payment renewal date may differ. Deleting a project, replacing an MCP token, or changing account levels will not reset usage. The Pricing page explains what counts toward each allowance.

Cancellation and refunds

Once paid subscriptions are available, you will be able to cancel through Paddle's customer portal or contact support@scholarmonster.com for assistance. Cancellation prevents the next renewal. Access normally continues to the end of the paid billing period unless a refund, legal requirement, security action, or applicable subscription condition changes that access.

Cancelling a paid subscription will not delete your Scholar Monster account or manuscripts. The account level and allowances that apply after the paid period, including any separate operational capacity limits, will be disclosed before checkout becomes available. Refund requests will follow the Refund Policy, Paddle's applicable terms, and mandatory consumer rights.
